Quigley style boot knife

The blade for this rendition of the Quigley down under boot knife is made from medium carbon spring steel, blade length is 140mm a tad under 5mm thick on the spine and has retained some of the forge scale on the surface. The blade has been acid etched to darken it down and give it that aged look. The overall length of the knife is 245mm. The stainless steel bolster and butt cap are octagonal and have been heat coloured to give them an aged patina. The handle is a beautiful piece of Australian Coolibah burr, octagonal to match the bolster and butt cap. The sheath for this piece is elk leather with raw hide stitching and elk leather leg tie.
