The blade for this Bowie has a core of 80Cr V2 high carbon tool steel which has been laminated between layers of 431 stainless steel to form this san mai blade. The blade length is 217mm long, 42mm wide and is a tad under 6mm thick on the spine. The overall length of the knife is 350mm. The double branch carbon steel handguard is 80mm long, 9mm thick and 20mm wide and the surface has been acid etched and stone washed. The handle is a lovely piece of Sambar stag antler which has been dyed mahogany brown and sealed with Danish oil. The carbon steel butt cap has also been acid etched and stone washed. The circumferance of which has been filed to match the flutes of the Sambar stag producing a seamless flow from the antler into the steel cap. The sheath is rawhide wrapped over a heavy leather internal core. The rawhide has been dyed mahogany brown and the throat flap has two simple native American style beads keeping this sheath clean, simple and functional.
